General pool cleaning guide. Providing a safe clean swimming environment requires daily pool maintenance to remove surface debris, cleaning the tile line and vacuuming the pool. Depending upon the bathing load you will also be required at regular intervals to ensure that the filtration system is clean and that the chemical balance of the water is within safe bathing limits. 1st step; Back washing the filter. This entails performing a back wash on the filter to remove dirt that has been collected by the filter from the water. Turn off the power to the pump and filter and set the multivalve to the backwash cycle. Turn on the power and any residue dirt will be flushed from the filter into the appropriate drainage system if one has been provided. This generally only takes 1 or 2 minutes, or until the discharged water can be seen to run clear. Turn off the power, re-set the multivalve to the regular filtration mode and switch the power back on. 2nd step; Removal of. Remove the skimmer baskets and clean. Remove any surface debris and any large debris that has sunk to the pool floor using a large net. 3rd step; Attach. Attach the vacuum head (brush) to the handle (telescopic pole) and attach this to the hose. Holding onto the free end of the hose, this should be placed in the water to sink and the hose allowed to fill with water before connecting the free end of the hose to the vacuum plate inside the skimmer box. 4th step; Vacuuming. Hoover all the floor with overlapping sweeps to remove any loose debris then hoover the walls. 5th Step: Final. Detach the hose from the skimmer box and replace the skimmer basket. NOTE: Never lift the vacuum head out of the water before disconnecting the vacuum hose from the skimmer box. Cleaning the pool tile line; The area where the water level sits is a perfect environment for the deposit of minerals, oils and lotions. All of these can harbor algae and bacteria as well as looking dirty. Clean this with a specially formulated pool tile cleaner from your dealer splash10@otenet.gr Surrounding pool area; Most algae which grows in the pool initially comes from the pathways and gardens that surround the pool, therefore, keep greenery cut back from the pool edge and pathways. Check the chemical ballance of the water: Use a pool test kit to ensure that your pool water is within safe bathing limits at least twice a week. Remember at the begining of each season to purchase a new test kit for accurate readings from your dealer. Splash pools and spas in Crete 0030 2841089225 splash10@gmail.com
